Price: $98.25

The Road Rage Gages Turbo Speed Scaler (TSS) for Borg Warner speed sensor equipped turbos is a device intended to translate the raw sensor output (a frequency) into a voltage signal that will directly interface with most analog input data acquisition systems.

This unit was primarily designed for racers, but it is suitable for use at the track or on the street to give instant feedback to your datarecorder. it translates raw sensor output, a frequency, into a voltage signal that will directly interface with most analog input data acquisition systems. This allows you to monitor changes in your turbo speed that could alert you to potential engine issues. Allows you to read and interpret Borg Warner turbo maps for optimum performance and to evaluate future engine mods.

The TSS:

  • Measures speed output with Borg Warner speed sensor equipped turbos. This allows you todetermine if your speed sensor is sized and operating correctly
  • measures voltage output (frequency to Voltage Conversion): easily interfaces with all popular data acquisition systems with a 0-5 volt input
  • watertight and high temp operating system: keeps functioning despite the hazards of racing conditions
  • 100 hz update rate: catches glitches that other systems might miss and makes sure you never miss a change to your turbo speed due to slow instrumentation
  • Manufactured in the USA

TSS Tech Specs

  • 0-190,000 rpm
  • Linear scaled output voltage from a true .1 to 4.5 volts (0-5volt)
  • Updated over 100 times per second
  • Works with 16, 14 or 12 blade Turbos (Custom blade types available on Request)
  • Watertight operation
  • Operation up to 100 degrees Centigrade (212 degrees Farenheit)

TSS Scaling Equations

  • 12 vane Turbo RPM = 43829 x (TSS Voltage Out) + 2981
  • 14 vane Turbo RPM = 37568 x (TSS Voltage Out) + 2555
  • 16 vane Turbo RPM = 32872 x (TSS Voltage Out) + 2236
